The Butcher Shop: Lamb & Liver
I wanted to branch out and cook a different kind of meat for the family rather than just continuing with the same-old/same-old, right?! So I found a chunk of lamb while making the grocery order, and then I found two lamb recipes to try with it.... 🐑 The first lamb recipe called for 6 lamb chops (1 chop = ~4 ounces), and the other one called for 250 grams of British lamb mince (1 cup/8 ounces). Six chops is 24 ounces, plus eight ounces is 32 ounces/2 pounds - so ordering a 2-3 lb package of lamb breast from Walmart should easily cover both recipes, don’t ya think? 🤔 https://www.food.com/recipe/ginger-lamb-chops-54947 Except come to find out, a lamb breast and a lamb chop are two very different items! One is mostly meat, while the other is composed predominantly of fat.
