Blessings on the Broken Road

Today I read 2 Kings 15 & 2 Chronicles 26 (a few days behind in the Bible Recap). Uzziah was a good king because he followed God … until he wasn’t, because he got proud and followed himself.  Good things come & good things go, but our good God is there forever. This is something to hold onto! “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high & lifted up; and the train of Hhis robe filled the temple. Above Him stood the seraphim. … And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭ESV‬).

Opposites Attract, Similars Do Too

Doubtless He had other reasons we don’t unde...

Image
So the Ovia app’s week 5 baby-size is peppercorns, which most recipes seem to feature in a sauce for steaks. I made the sauce & a couple side dishes, then took Roo & Ruby outside to play while Christopher Robin grilled the steaks & kabobs. Then I started spotting, and lost the baby overnight. “You give & take away; Lord, blessed be Your Name.” This one feels harder than the last one, but I know God is good and I know He has a good purpose. Now I have two babies waiting for me in Heaven….
