Weaning Roo to Whole Milk
Sometimes parenting feels like a lot of trial & error. How are we supposed to do tricky things like breastfeeding & weaning? And when all the moms around you seem to not remember how to help kids reach some big milestone, where do you turn? I’m thankful God placed the right woman in my castle’s staff at the right time! Miss CeceJoy is mother to six grown children, so I thought hopefully that she’d probably remember that key piece of information. And sure enough! She said, “What does he like? Tomatoes, crackers, bananas - okay, yeah, bananas should work! Introduce him to milk by giving him bananas in a little bit of milk. Oh, he drinks water? Well then, just dilute his water with a little bit of milk - and keep increasing the milk portion while decreasing the water portion - eventually it’ll be just milk!” And she was right! It worked like a charm, and my little Roo’s been guzzling down his whole milk for weeks now!
