My parents always said they were drawn to each other because they’re so different from each other and everyone knows that “Opposites Attract.” I did/do see that principle at work some in most of the marriage relationships I’ve witnessed. What’s the measuring stick? Growing up, I heard there were three possibilities – loving God & people well (saints in Heaven), loving God well and people poorly (what “good” Christians do), or loving people well and God poorly (what country/Kentucky people do). But lately, reading the OT prophets with The Bible Recap, I’m noticing different ideas…. * Micah - God’s judgement coming because people are being cruel/hateful to each other * Isaiah - Lost people and Satan are alike in their pride, anger, & selfish/hateful behavior. God and His children are alike in humility, love, & trust. If you love God, then you’ll love people. If you don’t love people, then you don’t love God. It’s as simple as that.
