Loving Priorities
“When God sets a person’s need in your natural line of vision, He’s calling you to be His hands & feet to meet that person’s need.” That’s always been my belief, and it used to be my happy, instinctive response. My time & money were my own with no dependents, and my abilities were common to girls my age. So that fit my life then … but that doesn’t mean it fits my life now.
Lately God’s been teaching me His calling can change over time, and we have to keep listening to His voice in the present tense.
Sometimes when God sets a need in front of us, maybe He’s calling on us to make choices, to keep our priorities straight, & to pray for the people whose needs we’re not able to meet.
Because we aren’t God, so none of us can do everything for everybody all the time. There is freedom, and there is joy.
Love everyone, take care of your husband & kids first (others can be next, as the Spirit leads), let go of what you can’t do, and let God do His perfect all-loving/all-powerful work.
