Some recent seeds of joy, as we prepare to worship the Son corporately tomorrow…. On our latest expedition to the little free library on the next street over, the kids & I discovered a book of recipes for homemade slime! While I was singing her bedtime songs the other day, our (foster) daughter told me she loves me sometimes - and that means we’re making some real progress, since lately her staunch antagonism has been a heartache-y struggle. But hey, progress is progress! Our son is a late talker, seeming to understand everything and saying quite a few individual words, but not being conversational yet. Sometimes his nonverbal-ness is a struggle. But here are some of his most recent word-additions! * berries (learned with blueberries; but also used for grapes, raisins, cranberries, watermelon, blueberry muffins, etc) * lo-lo (yogurt) * Too-tul! (Oh, Toodles! from Mickey Mouse) * away (I want to put X away) * ride (ride home in the stroller) And let’s not forget our fun picnic din
